Not a sin- feeling sexual attraction, sex with consenting partners, masturbation, consuming pornographic media, having several sexual partners, sex before mariage. I saw at the end of last year a lot of people saying 2018 was not a good year for them, but for me it was an amazing year.
2017 had been so stressful I ended up in hospital with testicular pain - essentially my body was throwing in the towel while my mind was still trying to carry on.
The turning point was on the last day of my hospital stay when the pain management team came to talk to me and said “we believe you’re in pain, and are willing to prescribe ongoing medication, but after multiple scans we can’t find a physical reason for it. Have you considered it might be a stress reaction?”
At the time, I was struggling both at work and at home.
In the subsequent months of 2017 first the job went and then the partner went.
Change over to the new year:
2018 was a year of joyous rebuilding and of counting my many blessings. One of the most amazing things I learned was to be grateful for what I have in life.
There were more tears shed in 2018 than in any year, or even number of years prior. But that was because my heart was in it, I was making honest efforts, and I really wanted to do the right thing.
My reminder for myself in 2019 is to do things for the right reasons. To have a plan and stick to it, to keep my eye on the prize that is those I love, and to be good to myself, and take care of what I have… lest my body give me another kick in the nuts. 😂
I am always going to be me, and I’m always going to fight against lies, manipulation, and those who use others without regard for their position.
This is just a quick note to myself to keep the focus; to be grateful, and to keep kicking arse. 2018 was a great springboard. 2019 can be absolutely AMAZING.
As someone who’s reported alt-right harassment and rhetoric on various
social media sites and been told “there’s nothing here that violates our
TOS,” seeing what RPGnet is doing is a welcome breath of fresh air.
